ALBERT GARCIA

Albert is the owner and operator of Whiskey Springs Studio, where he writes, records, engineers and produces a wide variety of projects. He recently released his debut CD called Angle of the Rain, produced by Gary Ogan. Albert was born and raised in Los Angeles, where he attended UCLA. After a brief relocation to Bellingham, Washington, he moved to Portland in 1972. Since that time, he has played in several bands that represent a substantial cross-section of the legacy of live music in the Portland area.

MARLIN GREENE

Marlin is truly a man who appreciates not only penguins and mycology, but also the ability to remain under the radar in certain elemental ways. So in deference to his requests that we keep this short, we'll simply say he is an amazing person in a number of arenas and lucky for us, songwriting is one of them. He resides in Seattle, Washington, where he runs his own business, 3 Hats -- Graphic Design, Internet Services, Digital Illustration. The latest venture which he harbors a serious passion for is wildlife photography, and this work can be viewed at One Earth Images -- Nature Photography, Conservation Photography, Fine Art Prints, Graphics.

DONNA JOSE

Donna's love of performing always comes through. She writes and sings the stories that are her life. Born in upstate New York, she now calls the Oregon Coast home, splitting her time between there and Portland. With three CD projects under her belt, she is making her own way to be sure.

STEVE JAMES WRIGHT

Steve left home in Seal Beach, California, in 1977 to pursue his rock ‘n’ roll dreams with the infamous jam band Little Women. Over the next seven years, he developed his own sound as a lead guitarist and found his own voice as a songwriter. He adopted Portland as a home base in 1989, where his career has continued to blossom. His reputation alone as a prized session player has led to several lasting associations with such local favorites as the ska-rock band, the Crazy 8’s. Exhibiting equal dexterity on vocals, guitar (electric and acoustic), slide guitar and mandolin, has provided Steve with a steady stream of musical collaborations, as well as being an honorary/ongoing member of Portland’s roots-rock favorites, the X-Angels, which continues to this day.

GARY OGAN

From his first major label release on Elektra Records in 1972, called Portland, Gary has created an ever-evolving world of music. Moving to Los Angeles in 1977 to sign with Leon Russell’s Paradise Records on the Warner Brothers label, Gary released his first self-titled album that year, co-produced with Russell. He also co-produced Leon and Mary Russell’s duet album, Make Love to the Music, and toured the U.S. extensively with them. Gary has shared the stage with countless performers from the Hollies, to Phoebe Snow, to Dennis Miller, to Nicolette Larson. In the mid-90’s Gary moved to Nashville, where he signed as a staff songwriter with Sony/ATV Tree. Returning to Portland presented the opportunity for him to follow his own dream.
