Steve Karakas / nonbox

I've known Steve for three decades.  He's an active musician and bandleader as a hobby, but he also heads up his own successful advertising agency in Portland, Oregon called nonbox.  Nonbox will help me stay abreast of new technologies and, when necessary, will assist in integrating those technologies into the way Sound Ground does business. 

John Condon / Artist and Label Services

I've known John for two decades.  He currently manages Nashville artist Darrell Scott, and his record label, Full Light Records, from his own KingEasyRecords.  He will shepherd Sound Ground artists who break out of regional success, handling all aspects to ensure seamless transitions to the next level.  He's been a Nashville resident since 1986 where his first job with esteemed producer Kyle Lehning and manager Tony Gottlieb gave him experience with artists including Randy Travis, George Jones, Dan Seals, and Clint Eastwood.  In 1992, he began a seven-year stint as Director of A&R at Asylum Records, where he signed Emmylou Harris, the Cox Family, and the Trio (Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris and Dolly Parton).    His wife, Lori, manages artist Gillian Welch and her record label, Acony Records. 

Albert Garcia / Whiskey Springs

I've known Albert for over a decade.  Aside from being signed to Sound Ground Publishing as the world-class songwriter he is, he also owns and operates Whiskey Springs Studios / Rehearsal Hall / Concert Venue, a stunning facility located on the outskirts of Portland.  I am excited to partner with Albert and Whiskey Springs on a number of levels.  Sound Ground will host a variety of special events at Whiskey Springs, including concerts, meetings and soirees. 

Terry Currier / Burnside Distribution

I've known Mr. Currier for almost four decades.  Terry is the President of MusicMillennium, BurnsideRecords and Burnside Distribution. He is respected and revered nationally for his unflagging support of the Pacific Northwest's music industry and for innovation in the music retail industry.  Music Millennium is often cited as one of the best independent music stores in the nation.  Burnside Distribution has in turn distinguished itself as an effective, fair and financially reliable distributor. I'm exremely lucky to call Burnside Distribution the chosen avenue to guarantee Sound Ground product reaches the customers.
